A Jay Allee, 54, is claimed to have set up a camera at his cabin in Comfort, Texas, US, to spy on guests.

Police said a guest found the hidden camera, which was made to look like a power adaptor and wifi router, while the woman he was staying there with was taking a shower.

He discovered it after looking online for ways to find secret recording devices.

The guest said the camera had been facing the bed, while Allee told them he had it set up to watch the sunrise naked or in pyjamas.

Police found Allee had been recording people for a year after examining the camera, a tablet, phones and laptops he owned.

There were a total of 2,100 photos and videos of people naked, half-dressed and having sex.

Bianca Zuniga-Goldwater, representing 17 of the people who stayed at Allee’s AirBnB, said the situation was like a “real life scary movie”.

On his arrest in November, Allee was charged with four counts of invasive visual recording.

Now he faces 15 counts with lawsuits that accuse him of causing emotional distress intentionally and invasion of privacy.

One of Allee’s lawyers Nico LaHood said his client is “looking forward to his day in court”, insisting he is innocent.

A spokesperson from AirBnB said: “The reported criminal behavior of this bed-and-breakfast owner is outrageous, and he and his property are banned from Airbnb.

“Our law enforcement operations team has been working to support the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office in their investigation.”
